Recap: Twilight Tunes Kicks off its 25th Season
Last Thursday, we kicked off the 25th season of Twilight Tunes in Downtown Denton with our favorite neighbors, friends and DMSA members! Check out our brief recap below of the festivities and what's to come for this week's Tunes!
Twilight Tunes is one of many of our favorite events, and for good reason. We like to think of Tunes as our weekly gather 'round Denton's "living room" with our "extended family" for our favorite show for locals, run by locals. Blankets and lawn chairs overlap from group to group, leading to new friendships and community connections. It often leads to new DMSA members, too! Twilight Tunes is the place to set aside the busy work week, put the phone down (unless it's to take pictures and tag us ;) ) and connect with this lovely little world around us we call our home. An extra special thanks to last week's Featured Sponsors, Agua Dulce and The Chestnut Tree, who partnered with fellow DMSA members Wine Squared to provide charcuterie boards to go for our Tunes attendees. What an excellent, collaborative effort to bring something really special to our Thursday nights!
High School Caesar did an excellent job of bringing the songs that kept people of all ages moving and a grooving on the courthouse lawn. The weather was absolutely perfect - clear skies with a light breeze to keep us - and our beverages - nice and cool. It was truly amazing to see the number of folks turn out for our first Tunes of the season. Clearly, everyone was just as ready for Twilight Tunes to kick off in full swing as we were.
We were delighted to see the Morgan family, owners of Denton County Brewing Company, out on the lawn as well with merchandise available for purchase! This is DCBC's first year in Main Street Association, and first year as a Presenting Sponsor for Twilight Tunes! Denton County Brewing Company is an excellent local brewery, located just off the square, with a lot of local history and big dreams for their future in downtown Denton, which you can learn more about here on our blog. We're thrilled to have their continued support of the community and the events we put together for them.
