New lights make downtown safer and more energy efficient than ever.
t's the coolest time of year in downtown Denton with the Twilight Tunes starting up for another Fall season. It's time to grab the lawn chairs and blankets, grab a bite to eat from any eatery in downtown, and make way to the courthouse lawn on Sundays for Fall Twilight Tunes, presented by the Denton Main Street Association.
Last Saturday Denton Main Street Association's Arts & Autos Extravaganza was a huge success this year and it was the largest show ever held in the event's history. Nearly 10,000 people came out to see the fabulous display of classic, hot rod, vintage and custom cars, trucks and motorcycles around the historic Denton County Courthouse on the Square last Saturday, September 9th.
Fall has arrived as if out of nowhere to our town of Denton, and with that the 2017 season of Mean Green Football! Thanks to our friends at North Texas Athletics (UNT,) the Denton Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) and the Jagoe-Public Company, Dentonians can travel to and from Apogee Stadium freely for home games, courtesy of the Mean Green Game Day shuttle.
On Thursday, August 31st, participating Downtown Denton merchants will donate 20% of sales to the Global Giving Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund as well as the SPCA of Texas. Please come out and give back to our Gulf Coast family.

Downtown Denton breaks in the summer with every Wednesday in June with Retail Happy Hour. It’s always a happy hour in Downtown Denton, but this one just got better. Get rewarded for shopping on Wednesdays with dining discounts and specials on merchandise at select tasting rooms.
For 20 years Dentonians and visitors have treasured stops at The Candy Store for some of the finest chocolates, sweets, coffee and conversation in Downtown Denton. This "Mom and Pop" shop has seen a generation grow up in Denton, and before they knew it those little faces peering through the glass were old enough to drive there and pay for their own candy.

Denton Main Street Association presents its award-winning concert series, Twilight Tunes, in downtown Denton starting April 20th this year. Tunes sets the tone for fun downtown every Thursday beginning April 20th from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. and will run every Thursday evening through June 29th. The concert series kicks off during the Thin Line Film Fest in downtown Denton this year.
