Thursday Twilight Tunes Celebrates its season in 2014 and starts a week earlier!
In 2014 Denton Main Street Association will begin it's award-winning concert series in downtown Denton starting Thursday, April 24th. Named “Best Promotional Event” by the Texas Downtown Association in 2012, the concert event set the tone for fun downtown every Thursday night in May and June, the first Thursday in July and a special July 4th late-morning concert that will follow the parade. More details and the full band schedule are soon to come!

Denton Main Street Association will host the 15th annual event on Saturday, September 13th in 2014, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. around the square and beyond, 110 W. Hickory Street. See links to forms and event day details to come soon!
This classic, custom, and hot rod car and motorcycle show is complete with live music, fine arts/crafts, antique appraisals, chalk art, kids’ fun and more.
Festival-goers will also enjoy an array of activities throughout the day, including hands-on arts/crafts and games, Chalk Fest and live music.
A silent auction featuring great downtown merchandise and other finds is held inside the courthouse during the event with bidding starting at 9 a.m. and open until 2 p.m.
Antique appraisers will provide you information on family treasures tucked away in your attic, so start digging them out.
Chalk Fest during Arts, Antiques & Autos is back again!
After a good comeback in 2013, this years event should offer some fantastic drawings to add spark and life to the sidewalks downtown. Artists, stay tuned for entry forms and rules/guidelines. It will be a fantastic display to stroll through during the event and for days after the fun.

Stroll the streets of the square and beyond while checking out the specials in the stores and restaurants. Enjoy refreshments while you shop, door prize drawings at various stores, and a chance to give back to the community throughout the weekend. Watch for special events and participating merchants to be posted as the event approaches.
What is Wassail? It is just a fussy Old English word for hot cider. Check out the delicious Wassail recipes at the more than 30 participating merchant locations around the historic downtown Denton Courthouse on the Square and beyond. Tasting begins at 5:30 p.m. and you can vote on your favorite! So, come sip and stroll through downtown. Wassail tasting is free and for all ages. For a list of participating merchants, stay tuned to this site.

Galleries around West Oak Street and in downtown Denton every first Friday evening of the month host a free event featuring art, fun and music for the community to enjoy. Visit www.firstfridaydenton.com to get details for each month.

Denton County growers sell fresh produce during the growing season in North Texas. June through September – Every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday 7 a.m. to 12 noon, or Sell-out.
