Thursday Twilight Tunes Celebrate its 22nd season in 2015 and starts April 23rd!
Denton Main Street Association presents its award-winning concert series in downtown Denton starting April 23rd this year. The concert event sets the tone for fun downtown every Thursday beginning Thursday, April 23rd at 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. and will run every Thursday evening through July 2nd, with a bonus concert on Saturday, July 4th in the morning immediately following the 4th of July parade through downtown Denton.

The 2015 series offers an eclectic assortment of music for all listeners. Thursday Twilight Tunes is the perfect way to kick off the weekend early and listen to some of the best local bands in the Denton area.
This is the 22nd season for this long-standing tradition in historic downtown Denton. Below is the concert schedule, with April 23rd through July 2nd concerts set for 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.. *The July 4th concert will follow the 4th of July Parade and begin approximately 10 a.m..
If you are coming from the southern part of Denton County, or even from within Denton, hop on the DCTA A-train at MedPark in Denton or any of the stops south of Denton in Lewisville and Carrollton. Relax and enjoy the ride to downtown Denton, hop off, take a stroll to the west up East Hickory Street to the Denton County Courthouse-on-the-Square. Denton Main Street Association hosted the 16th annual event on Saturday, September 12th in 2015, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. around the square and beyond, 110 W. Hickory Street.
This event features a hot rod, classic and custom car, truck and motorcycle with multiple car, truck and motorcycle classes and great trophies! Cash prizes for Best of Show winner in car, truck and motorcycle class. Look for entry forms and fees to be posted soon!
Festival-goers enjoy an array of activities throughout the day, including hands-on arts/crafts and games, Chalk Fest and live music.
This year the Chalk Fest will bring some fantastic chalk drawings to add spark and life to the sidewalks downtown. Artists of all ages can contribute to a fantastic display to stroll through during the event and for days after the fun. Look for artist entry and fee info coming soon!
Antique appraisers provide information on family treasures and heirlooms. Appraisers and dealers specialize in general antiques, art, clocks, jewelry and other areas. Stay tuned for more!
Live Music takes place all day entertaining crowds on the courthouse lawn. And, festival foods and the great dining at downtown eateries abound at AAA!

What is Wassail? It is just a fussy old English word for hot cider. Downtown merchants will stir up their best recipe to give free tastings for all ages during the festivities of the annual Denton Holiday Lighthing Festival, which falls on Friday, Dec. 4, 2015 and the following day the tasting continues with more merchants who will have their tasting events on Saturday afternoon. Check back for updates on this upcoming event this year.

Holiday Open House weekend kicks off for some great shopping and strolling the streets of the square and beyond to check out the specials in the stores and restaurants. Some merchants will have extended hours during the holiday season, so check with your favorites and see who is open late or on Sundays during December. Denton County growers sell fresh produce during the growing season in North Texas. June through September – Every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday 7 a.m. to 12 noon, or Sell-out.
