"Share the Love" in Downtown Denton by shopping local. Denton Main Street Association member merchants invite you to shop and dine and earn some Downtown Bucks while you are here. It's easy. If you spend more than $25 in a participating merchant this month you can get $5 in Downtown Bucks through February 28th. Take those Downtown Bucks to another participating merchant and spend them this month through March 8th
There are limits and some restrictions that apply at each merchant. And, limit is one $5 Downtown Buck per transaction.

Downtown Denton is springs forward March 6-8 for Spring Open House Weekend. More than 40 Downtown Denton shopping and dining destinations will host extended hours and offer specials for the spring kick-off. The fun abounds around downtown as merchants of the Denton Main Street Association on the square and beyond start the season. Some stores will be open Friday night and First Friday is taking place on W. Oak Street, March 6th.
Some stores will hold a sneak preview until 8 pm on Friday, March 6 with some restaurants starting specials on Friday evening, March 6. Open House hours for Saturday, March 7 hours are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 8 from Noon to 5 p.m. (Some store hours may vary). For a map, click here.

DUST IF OFF. CLEAN IT UP. BRING IT OUT!
Denton Main Street Association hosted the 16th annual event on Saturday, September 12th in 2015, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. around the square and beyond, 110 W. Hickory Street.
This event features a hot rod, classic and custom car, truck and motorcycle with multiple car, truck and motorcycle classes and great trophies! Cash prizes for Best of Show winner in car, truck and motorcycle class. Look for entry forms and fees to be posted soon!
Festival-goers enjoy an array of activities throughout the day, including hands-on arts/crafts and games, Chalk Fest and live music.
This year the Chalk Fest will bring some fantastic chalk drawings to add spark and life to the sidewalks downtown. Artists of all ages can contribute to a fantastic display to stroll through during the event and for days after the fun. Look for artist entry and fee info coming soon!
Antique appraisers provide information on family treasures and heirlooms. Appraisers and dealers specialize in general antiques, art, clocks, jewelry and other areas. Stay tuned for more!
Live Music takes place all day entertaining crowds on the courthouse lawn. And, festival foods and the great dining at downtown eateries abound at AAA!

What is Wassail? It is just a fussy old English word for hot cider. Downtown merchants will stir up their best recipe to give free tastings for all ages during the festivities of the annual Denton Holiday Lighthing Festival, which falls on Friday, Dec. 4, 2015 and the following day the tasting continues with more merchants who will have their tasting events on Saturday afternoon. Check back for updates on this upcoming event this year.

Holiday Open House weekend kicks off for some great shopping and strolling the streets of the square and beyond to check out the specials in the stores and restaurants. Some merchants will have extended hours during the holiday season, so check with your favorites and see who is open late or on Sundays during December. Denton County growers sell fresh produce during the growing season in North Texas. June through September – Every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday 7 a.m. to 12 noon, or Sell-out.
